I started bird watching many years ago, sucked in by raptors. The Swallow-tailed Kite is one of the most elegant and striking birds found in my area of South Florida. They will always make me stop what I am doing to watch them. They travel up from South America every spring and herald out summer weather. That weather includes high heat and humidity which often spawns afternoon thunderstorms. I wanted to tell that story here with 3 kites displaying their incredible aeronautics ahead of a building summer storm.
